It's the film fashion lovers have been waiting a lifetime for and last night New York's most stylish women finally hit the big screen. If you're off to see the film purely for the clothes then you won't be disappointed- the subtle hint of designer labels of the TV series have been swapped for a total fashion indulgence throughout the 2 and a half hour long movie.
Whereas the fashion in the TV series was always there to be spotted in the background, it seems everyone has been jumping on the Sex and the City bandwagon and the fashion has become the main focus of the film with everyone trying to cash in on the selling-power of our four favourite New Yorkers.

She's queen of manhattan chic and her brand of mis-matched, polished chic is now instantly recognisable. This tailored but feminine look is Carrie at her best, the gorgeous, sleeveless safari jacket by Proenza Schouler being this summer's must have piece and she's avoided the matchy-matchy look with a less tailored skirt that is high-waisted, full, just above the knee and therefore bang on trend. Her look is fabulously finished (naturally) with statement accessories - the oversized leather tote and summery black and white sandals are both waiting list worthy... from Miss Bradshaw, we'd expect nothing less.
- Safari jacket £55 by Oasis
- skirt £35 by Warehouse
- Strappy sandals £85 by Topshop Unique

Charlotte Yorke is a Park Avenue Princess through and through, her current look is perfect for long summer days in the city and neatly channels her own personal style with one of summer's hottest trends. The bandeau prom dress is without doubt this season's must-have frock and Charlotte's chosen a laid back cotton number that works perfectly for day. She's accessorised with a skinny belt in a contrasting colour - blue or white would have made the look too put together - that accentuates her waist, and classic strappy shoes that add a ladylike and elegant air to her ensemble.
- Checked prom dress £70 by Oasis
- Skinny belt £18 from Oasis
- Court shoes £255 by Yves Saint Laurent
