At the heart of matters, WhoWhatWearDaily’s intent is to provide inspiration for personal style. We like to point out people who have unique and interesting ways of putting themselves together to serve as fashion muses for our readers (and selves). Today’s story is an example of our tenet, as we take Mischa Barton and imagine What Would She Wear? Mischa’s style these days is very mod-meets-gypsy, and while she favors Chanel, Matthew Williamson, and Missoni, the overall feel of her look can be captured without paying couture prices.

We will always flip for the latest beauty styles (we’re currently giving Amy Winehouse a run for her money as we try to perfect fall’s cat-eye liner), but despite getting our heads turned by trends, we’re still suckers for perfectly pretty, natural makeup. When we spotted Jessica Biel at the MTV Movie Awards, we were immediately gaga for her low-fuss look. The summer season calls for ease in all areas of life: backyard barbeques, lazing Saturday away in the sun, and effortless dressing. Regarding the latter, one of our classic, favorite options, which happens to look particularly inviting right now, is the shirt dress. It’s the perfect item to add to your wardrobe right now, as its versatility makes it a practical buy and this is definitely an item with longevity. They’ll still be fashionable this fall, when you can take a page from Zooey Deschanel’s book and wear your lightweight pieces with tights or layer them over trousers.
