No botox for this girl

Ashlee Simpson made an appearance at the Juicy Couture store opening in Beverly Hills on November 6, thankfully minus the scraggly long extensions and looking pretty cozy in all those layers that she's wearing! Also, can I just say that these type of pashmina/scarves are everywhere right now! Leave it to Lohan to start another fashion craze. Sporting one of these scarves with a black leather jacket, striped top (check out IISLI's super similar Rugby Tee in Black or Autumn Cashmere's Striped Crew Neck Top in Tarmac/Black) and black leggings (similar to Hudson Jeans' Skinny Leg Knit in Black), Ashley was looking probably the most natural we've seen her in quite a while... and this is quite an accomplishment! As a recent cover of In Touch Weekly proclaims, Ash has been shot up with Botox at the tender age of 23. However, Ashlee countered to US Weekly, with her rep saying "Ashlee has never had Botox in her life. She credits her eyebrows to her makeup artist who is a whiz with the tweezer." Botox or tweezers... who to believe?! Ash then dished up some of her makeup secrets to US Weekly, saying, "I cheap out and use face wipes to take my makeup off and put lotion on. I know it's very cheesy to say, but [Proactiv] is incredible. If I have a zit I put that mask on and it's gone." Let's see- Ashlee plugging the company that her sister Jessica is a sponsor for? Coincidence? I think not. How about you?

Heidi and Lauren - secret friends?

Lauren Conrad was snapped at the Maxim Party for "Assassin's Creed" hosted by Kristen Bell on November 6, rocking a basic LBD with simple accessories. Her Little Black Dress, like Lotta Stensson's Mod Dress in Black or Yoana Baraschi's luxe version, the Isadora Cashmere and Satin Mini Dress in Black, work well with silver bangles (like Mickey Lynn Designs' Set of 3 Hammered Bracelets in Silver), black nails and black pumps. While "The Hills" has been catching a lot of flack lately for people thinking it's fake, Star Magazine is now claiming that Lauren and Heidi might actually be friends! Allegedly, the girls were seen together in the parking garage of Lauren's apartment on the weekend before Halloween, laughing and getting into Lauren's black Mercedes. A source says, "They were laughing, hugging and being very affectionate with one another. There were no MTV cameras around. This seemed like the real deal. I saw Heidi coming to visit Lauren at her apartment without her fiancé Spencer Pratt. I think Lauren and Heidi made a secret pact not to tell anyone." Either that, or they've made up and can't be seen out in public together until the episode airs! However, this doesn't seem likely, as a preview of this week's episode shows Lauren telling Heidi, "I want to forgive you, and I want to forget you." Hmm... I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again- something's fishy in the Hills!

Tune in... for rachel's sake!

Rachel Bilson was spotted hitting up hot Cuban-Mexican restaurant Cafe Habana in the Nolita area of New York on November 2. Looking casual and cool in a black jacket (like Johnson's Jimmy Jacket with Tie Belt in Black) with a white quilted bag, vintage wash jeans (similar to Paper Denim & Cloth's Bridgette Low Rise Bootcut Jean in Emma) and green Wayfarer-esque shades, Rachel's funky style is even funkier in New York. While I told you before that Rachel is going to best guest starring on the new show "Chuck", we now know the episode names and airdates of Rachel's specific episodes. Rachel's November sweeps episodes are called "Chuck Versus the Truth" and "Chuck Versus the Imported Hard Salami", and air on November 12 and 19, respectively. JustJared.com is reporting that the viewership will determine whether or not Rachel comes back for any additional episodes, so if there are any die-hard Rachel fans out there, make sure and tune in!
