Jil Sander
Jil Sander’s displays a clinical, pure silhouette with a slight Asian influence. Raf Simons has introduced some contemporary wisdom into Jil Sanders, redefining the perfectly cut pant suit of the 80’s, and introducing sterile tube tops, buttoned bolero’s, flared lengthy jackets; skin tight skinny’s and bright hues of melon orange, princess pink and aqua blue. Jil Sander considered a ‘fashion reductionist’ label has had an injection of contemporary spirit, rejuvenating an iconic brand’s primary tailoring.
Missoni

Missoni featured a collection of sorts. Casual shorts, dresses, floral prints and embroidery embodied the Missoni collection - fun summer chic springs to mind. Flirty, but relaxed, a youthful collection of individual pieces undoubtedly a favourite amongst young fashionistas. Short shorts, zigzag retro prints and strapless floral dresses are perfect for basking off the Mediterranean coast, while golden bedazzled thigh skimmers and mini dresses reflect an urban chic lifestyle.
Moschino

A label known for their love of kitsch embraced a burst of surrealism for their newest collection. A silver meshed medieval knight inspired skirt suit opened the show. A wondrous display of burette styled hair dues, oversized sporty totes and clear punched out plastic rain coats were common features. Short-sleeved jackets matched with bubble skirts added to the surrealist motif. Hooded water proof parkas and play suits paired with over sized totes reflected a casual image.
Prada

A back drop of pixie motifs sneaked a peak into Miuccia Prada’s collection. A pixie lost in the seventies more accurately defines her inspiration. Silk printed tunics, flared trousers, ribbed knits and skirts embodied a burst of ‘new creativity’, a sensual freedom reflected in symmetrical lines, light chiffons and organdie. A collection completely diversified from last season’s love of structured silhouettes.
